A Maple Heights man was arrested on March 5 after he crashed a Tesla sport-utility vehicle into a concrete pillar inside the Brook Park Laser Wash and then passed out.
Authorities found the man intoxicated and discovered a dog confined in a cage in the vehicle's trunk. The incident raised concerns about the safety and welfare of the animal during the crash.
Police took the man into custody following the crash and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
